Tokyo Fixed started as a web only shop in Tokyo, 2006. We opened our shop front in the heart of London’s Soho in November 2009. We choose products from all over the world. We choose clothing not only for cycling but for cycling people. We look for small quality brands who have a passion for both style and function. The same goes for the cycle and cycle accessories brands we stock. We also specialise in building custom bikes of any style and making people’s bicycle ideas come to life. I’ve bikes in the bathroom, bikes in the backyard, bikes on the couch. Parts under the bed, behind the TV, in the kitchen. It’s a disease. I can’t list all my bikes but to name a few of my recent builds: Harry Quinn Low Pro, Cycroc 20” fixed, Pro Lits Alu Track bike, GT Dyno 24” Cruiser, Raliegh Bomber with 700c wheels all chrom, Trek 3 Speed with internal hub and a porteur rack, Green Steel Track bike, Raleigh Randoneur. (These are only the bikes he’s built up since in England).

The Last Word
The Last Word starring will Ewan Mc Gregor will be out late 2010. For this movie we worked with props and wardrobe to provide clothing a fixed gear for Ewan. He rode a Gorilla custom build and will be wearing Pedal.e.d, CCP and Swrve. We are not allowed to release photos until the film is out so there’s more to come on this one.

THE WEBSHOP

STOCK

We try to keep all the products listed online in stock however if an item does go out of stock it will stay online until we receive our next delivery. If part of your order is out of stock we will inform you via e-mail ASAP. You will be given the option to put the out of stock item on back order or receive a refund for it. If an item is sent out on a later date separate to the bulk of your order we will happily incur additional shipping costs, this excludes frames and wheels.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

We ship worldwide. For all customers outside the EU we will never declare the value of the item lower than the total cost of the order.

We aim to get orders out 2-3 days from the date of your order. If you need your order in a rush please let us know ASAP via e-mail or phone so we can make the necessary arrangements.

All customers will be provided with tracking information when their order is dispatched.

We ship with a few different carriers depending on your location and the size of the package. These carriers are Interlink, Royal Mail and Parcel Force.

Shipping costs are calculated depending your location and the size of the products in your order.

We split package sizes into three basic categories; small, medium and large.

Small Packages – Most items we stock fall into the small category. Any order containing more than two small items will automatically be classed as a medium sized package. Click the tab below to view shipping rates and delivery times for small packages.

Medium Packages – Items ordered over 1kg will automatically make your order medium. This includes racks, large bags, rims etc. If the bulk of your order is made up of small items but you have one medium item your order will still be classed a medium. If you have multiple medium items your order will not automatically become a large order but we reserve the right to quote additional shipping. Large Packages – Items such as wheel sets, frames and complete bikes are classed as large. Click the tab below to view shipping rates and delivery times for large packages.

SHIPPING RATES / LEAD TIMES

If goods arrive damaged as result of mishandling please keep the packaging and contact us immediately.

All packages are sent out uninsured unless otherwise requested.

We reserve the right to quote additional shipping if need be. If you feel our shipping calculator has quoted you an unreasonable amount please contact us. We can ship your item with cheaper, slower and untraceable services but we do not accept responsibility for late items if you do choose one of these services.

LOCAL PICKUPS

Please let us know ASAP from the time of the order if you wish to pick up the goods in store.

RETURNS / EXCHANGES

We will accept returns within 30 days of purchase on any unused items. We will not accept returns on ay parts, which have been already mounted, or on clothing, which has been washed or notably worn. We will not accept returns on sale items. We will not accept returns on used items unless your feel the item was misrepresented online. We will not accept returns on custom or special orders unless the item received differs from your actual order.

You must pay shipping costs for returned items.

PRODUCT WARRANTY

We stand behind the quality of all the products and brands we stock.

Clothing – We will accept returns on clothing due to manufacturer defects if the item is returned to us within 14 days of receiving. We will always let the manufacturer know about the defect and offer an exchange or credit if requested.

Cycle accessories, parts and frames - We will accept returns on clothing due to manufacturer defects if the item is returned to us within 14 days of receiving. We will always let the manufacturer know about the defect and offer an exchange or credit if requested. After 14 days the product falls under the brands warranty. We will always do our best to help you chase up a manufacturer or supplier.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Custom Bike

Bike Build Sheet (right click + save target as)

You can order custom builds from us with out visiting the shop. You can either select your parts for the build from our website and fill them into the build sheet PDF or if you want to work with us on the build feel free to contact us.
For custom builds we are always happy to order in hard to find parts or attempt to source vintage parts for your build that are not listed on the website.
We are happy to work with you to build any type of bike. From classic to modern style road bikes, tourers and single speed MTB’s.
We can do in house graphics and apply and cut custom vinyl. We also work with plenty of painters specializing in powder coating, custom spraying and old techniques such as pin striping, lug lining, custom badges and custom transfers. Nothing is impossible.

All custom bikes are built up in house for an additional fee of 40 pounds. You can either pick your bike up from our shop front or have your bike sent to you. If we are sending a bike we will always take a studio photograph of it before it’s sent out.

Custom Wheel

Custom wheel builds can easily be ordered by filling in the Custom Wheel Build Sheet PDF.
You can select hubs and rims from the website or contact us for a special order such as custom drilled hubs or carbon rims.
We stock spokes from DT Swiss, Sapim and Halo in various colours. We can also source bladed spokes such as Sapim CX Rays.
Both our mechanics Greg and Mark have almost 10 years wheel building experience between them so you can be assured your wheels are in good hands.
We are happy to look at all requests for more unusual lacings.

We charge 25 pounds per wheel build. Expect a 3-5 day turnaround.

Custom Frame

Frame Build Sheet (right click + save target as)

If you want to find the perfect fit or create your dream frame then a custom frame is for you. We source frames from some of the worlds best frame builders. We are currently taking orders for Ohtaki, Nagasawa, Tonic Fabrication, Ciocc, and Ricky Feather. For information on each unique builder please visit our custom frame section under the frames section.
Custom frames will last a lifetime. All the builders we work with specialize in building with steel, the most durable, timeless and comfortable material.
For lead times and pricing please visit each builder individual’s page under the custom frames section.
In order to fill in the Frame Spec PDF correctly we highly recommend you either come in store for sizing or getting yourself sized up in your local bike shop.
To avoid complications all custom frame builds will be sent to us to be checked before we sent it on to you.
We can only confirm orders when 50% of the cost of the build is paid. The second half should be paid upon the frame being receive by us.

If you ever feel like we’ve mistreated you don’t be afraid to voice this. We take complaints very seriously and are always trying to improve the services we offer.

In order to fulfil order we take certain information from you e.g. address, phone and credit card details. None of your information will ever be passed onto third parties. All credit card details are processed by through our secure payment Gate Way Secure trading. Tokyo Fixed staff can never view or access card information. We will use your e-mail to send out newsletters, let us know if you want to be taken off our mailing list.
